About the School
John F. Kennedy High School opened in 1967 in the Gentilly neighborhood. The original campus was lost to Hurricane Katrina and later demolished, but the Cougars returned: in 2018 the school reopened on Paris Avenue.
Now part of the KIPP New Orleans network, Kennedy carries its blue-and-gold tradition into a new era.
