Every restaurant, salon, barbershop, bar, food truck and professional service in this directory is listed because it is Black-owned, and Black-owned businesses come first in every category, map and search result on this site.
The guide is organized into ten doors: The Table, The Scene, The Look, Health, Arts & Culture, Services, The Ride, The Stay, Entertainers and Major Events. The directory carries nearly 800 listings on both sides of the metroplex — the deepest doors are restaurants, hair, barbers, bars, culture, medical, professional services, bakeries, lounges, food trucks and fitness, plus the historic sites and museums that hold the region's Black history. Coverage runs through Dallas and Fort Worth and out to Arlington, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Duncanville, Garland, Mesquite, Grand Prairie, Plano, McKinney and Denton.
