Established 1995 · Central City, Uptown

Eight Stops Deep.

The Single Men S.A.P.C. was established in May 1995, an Uptown men’s club rooted in Central City. Their spring second line is one of the longest rolls of the season — 4.4 miles and eight stops from Booker T. Washington High School all the way to Big Man’s Lounge.

The route is a tour of the neighborhood’s institutions and its people, pausing to salute fellow clubs — the Single Ladies, NOLA Gentlemen, Team Woody, the Sportsman’s Ladies and the Ladies of Unity — and to remember those gone before, including a tribute to the late Charmaine Baker Fox.

Uptown. Eight stops. All footwork.
