The Lady Buckjumpers roll each fall through Uptown and Central City, with a signature stop at the former Magnolia projects. The exact route is released before the parade.
Formed in 1984 to march alongside the Men Buckjumpers, the club drew its first members from the Scene Boosters and Avenue Steppers — and has been an all-female powerhouse ever since.

The Original Ladies.
The Original New Orleans Lady Buckjumpers formed in 1984 as the women’s counterpart to the Men Buckjumpers, pulling together ladies who had already made their names parading with clubs like the Scene Boosters and the Avenue Steppers. That May they christened their banner and hit the streets.
For decades the club has been led by president Linda Porter Tapp — mother of the late rapper Soulja Slim — and their parade always stops at the former Magnolia projects where she raised her son. Today they roll as the Original Lady Buckjumpers, standard-bearers of the all-female second line.
