Established 1999 · Uptown New Orleans

Divine by Name & Nature.

The Divine Ladies stepped off in 1999. The story goes that founder Angie landed on the name when a dictionary fell open to the D’s — and “Divine” stuck. From the beginning the club held its members to a standard: carry yourself well, dress sharp, and be respected in the community.

One of Uptown’s signature women’s clubs, the Divine Ladies roll each May, the week after Mother’s Day, right behind the Big Seven. Da Truth Brass Band leads as the ladies and their King’s court parade from St. Charles all the way to Jazz It Up.
