The Kinfolk Brass Band formed in the mid-2000s, built around trumpeter Richard Anderson and a crew of players who treat the band like family — which is exactly where the name comes from.
They blend traditional New Orleans repertoire with a modern edge, carrying the second line sound from the neighborhood streets to festival stages at home and abroad.
