About NOPSI Hotel
NOPSI Hotel is a 217-room luxury hotel at 317 Baronne Street in the Central Business District, built inside the 1927 headquarters of New Orleans Public Service Inc., the old power-and-streetcar company the building is named for. The lobby keeps the original marble, brass and vaulted ceilings, and the rooftop pool bar looks out over downtown.
Part of the Salamander Collection, the hotel group founded by Sheila Johnson, the first Black woman billionaire in America. Public Service, the restaurant off the lobby, and the rooftop Above the Grid bar are open to non-guests.
Steps from Canal Street, the streetcar and the French Quarter, and a short walk to the Superdome and the Convention Center.
