The Stooges Brass Band came up in 1996, led by Walter Ramsey, and quickly became one of the hardest-hitting bands in the modern brass scene — equal parts second line, funk, and hip-hop.
Songs like “Why Dey Had To Kill Him” speak straight to the streets that raised them. The Stooges have toured internationally and mentored a generation of younger players.
