4 Da City & 4 Da Culture.
The Perfect Gentlemen came together in 1991 as an Uptown men’s club built on brotherhood and service. From the start the mission ran deeper than the parade — the club has long used its platform to push back against neighborhood violence and to set an example for the next generation of young men.
Every January the Gentlemen kick off the new year, rolling from Tipitina’s on Napoleon through the old Jackson Avenue watering holes behind Da Truth Brass Band. Sharp suits, good food, and footwork all the way from Napoleon to Broad.
“Leave your weapons and violence at home — bring your footwork.”
