Named for the Calliope project — “the jets” — the club was chartered when the Calliope High Steppers stopped parading, and built its mission around fellowship and charity.

The Jets.
The Lady Jetsetters got their name on a back stoop — the founder’s mother and her neighbors, sitting outside the Calliope project (“the jets”), decided that’s who they were. When the Calliope High Steppers stopped parading, the founder broke off and chartered a club of her own.
Their bylaws put it plainly: to promote love, good spirit, loyalty, and fellowship, and to give back — supporting homeless women, children, and survivors of domestic violence. An all-ladies marching club with charity at its heart.
