The Parade

The CTC Steppers roll early in the second line season through the Lower Ninth Ward. The exact route is released before the parade.

“CTC” stands for Cross The Canal — after five years parading uptown, the Steppers brought the parade back home across the Industrial Canal to the Lower Nine.

Cross the Canal.

The Original CTC Steppers were established in 2000 in the Lower Ninth Ward. The name says it all — CTC stands for “Cross The Canal,” the club’s badge of neighborhood identity.

After a five-year stretch parading uptown, the Steppers brought it back home across the Industrial Canal, where they belong. Today they roll early in the year behind a brass band, deep in the Lower Nine.

Cross the Canal, come home.
