About the School
Marion Abramson High School opened in 1967 in New Orleans East and grew into the largest school in the city. Its Commodores produced standout athletes and a fiercely loyal community.
The original campus was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina flooding in 2005. In 2015 a new building opened on the site, and Abramson Sci Academy welcomed home the original alumni, taking on the Abramson name and some of its traditions — related, but a distinct school.
