TBC made their name playing nightly on the corner of Bourbon and Canal — music over the streets, one set at a time.

From the Corner Up.
The To Be Continued Brass Band — TBC — started in 2002, formed by teenagers from Carver and Kennedy high schools out of the 7th and 9th Wards. Some of their first horns were literally held together with duct tape, borrowed from a school band room.
They built their name playing nightly on the corner of Bourbon and Canal, choosing music over the streets. By 2005 the Grammy-winning Roots had taken them under their wing — and TBC has been carrying that hard-won sound ever since.
