Keeping It Real.

Keep ’N It Real came together around 2004, when a group of members broke off from Revolution to start something of their own — they even kicked around names like “Revolution Part Two” before landing on Keep ’N It Real, inspired by a Shaggy song about riding out the struggle with your friends.

The club starts at Bayou St. John, a nod to Tambourine and Fan’s Super Sunday, where people would line up by the water to have a good time. From there they keep it downtown on the big streets — Orleans, Broad, Claiborne — with room to spread out and dance, behind Sporty’s Brass Band.
