Jasmine Crockett represents Texas 30th congressional district, which covers much of the city of Dallas and is majority Black and Hispanic. A former civil rights attorney and Texas state representative, she took office in 2023. She ran for the U.S. Senate in 2026 rather than seek re-election, and lost the Democratic primary to state Rep. James Talarico, taking about 46 percent to his 53 percent. Her House term runs through January 2027.
