Byron Sanders represents District 5 on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees, covering Oak Lawn, West Dallas, Wilmer, Hutchins, and portions of East Oak Cliff. He took the seat in 2025 after Maxie Johnson left the board for the Dallas City Council, and serves as Second Vice President.
