Lee’s Family Pharmacy is, in its own words, “a Black-owned, faith-led pharmacy” that understands the health disparities hitting our community hardest. Dr. Sylvester J. Lee founded it in 1985 as Forward West Professional Pharmacy on Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SW; four decades later it runs on Fairburn Road under father and son, Dr. Sylvester J. Lee, RPh and Dr. Stedman Jermaine Lee, PharmD. Thirty-plus years on Atlanta’s Southside makes it one of the longest-running Black-owned pharmacies in the city.

Beyond filling and refilling prescriptions, Lee’s does medication reviews, blood pressure screenings, glucose screenings, and preventative immunizations including influenza, shingles, pneumococcal and COVID. What sets them apart is that they stock naturopathic, holistic and home-remedy alternatives right alongside conventional drugs, and they counsel patients on cutting medication dependency through nutrition and lifestyle changes, with specific focus on diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. They bill third-party insurance plans. Hours are Monday through Friday 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
