No. 6 of 17 · Sweet to Dry
Claiborne
Grenache Rosé · Claiborne Ave · 7th Ward
Formerly Tremé Rosé. Beauty that was here, and the insistence on beauty still.
Claiborne Avenue was a Black main street — a canopy of live oaks over Black-owned shops, doctors, clubs, the neutral ground where the community gathered. In 1966–68 the I-10 overpass was driven straight down it, felling the oaks and gutting the corridor. This dry rosé carries that memory: beauty that was here, and the insistence on beauty still.
Tasting NoteDry, pale copper — red currant, blood orange, dried herb, a savory almond finish.
