Wilton Simpson is the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. The Commissioner of Agriculture runs a department that inspects grocery scales and gas pumps, checks food safety, issues concealed-weapon licenses, and backs Florida farmers and ranchers. The office also fields consumer complaints and manages the state forests and wildfire response.
