Dave Eggers is the Pinellas County Commissioner, District 4 (Single-Member). County commissioners set the county property tax rate, pass the county budget and write ordinances covering unincorporated Pinellas and countywide services like transit, the jail budget, beach renourishment and tourist-tax spending. As 2026 board chair he runs the meetings. District 4 is a single-member seat covering north Pinellas, elected only by voters in that district.

2026 board Chairman. Because both candidates were Republicans, the Aug. 18 primary was open to all voters and decided the seat; Eggers beat Anthony Ringelspaugh with nearly 80%. He will not appear on the November ballot.
