Corey Givens Jr. is the St. Petersburg City Council, District 7. One of eight council members who write city ordinances, approve the mayor’s budget, set property tax rates and vote on rezonings and land deals. District 7 covers the historically Black neighborhoods of south St. Pete, including much of the area around the Gas Plant/Tropicana Field redevelopment site.
