Chris Boles is the Hillsborough County Commission, District 6 (elected countywide). County commissioners set the county budget and property tax rate and make the rules for the unincorporated areas outside Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City, covering zoning, growth, roads, parks, fire rescue and social services. This seat is numbered as a district but elected countywide, so every Hillsborough voter votes on it.
