Ron DeSantis is the Governor of Florida. The Governor is Florida’s chief executive: he runs the state agencies, signs or vetoes the bills the Legislature passes, and proposes the state budget every year. The Governor also appoints judges, agency heads and replacements for officials who quit mid-term, and directs the state’s hurricane and emergency response.
