Brian Nathan is the Florida Senate, District 14. A state senator is one of 40 members of the Florida Senate, the upper chamber of the Legislature that writes state law and passes the state budget each spring in Tallahassee. Senators also confirm the Governor’s appointments and decide the rules on schools, property insurance, health care, roads and taxes for the area they represent.

Covers part of Hillsborough County (Tampa area). Nathan won a March 24, 2026 special election after Jay Collins resigned the seat to become Lieutenant Governor, so he is serving out a partial term and the seat is up again for a full four years this November.
