This life-size bronze statue depicts Seattle native Jimi Hendrix kneeling with his guitar. Installed in 1997, it has become one of the city’s most photographed pieces of public art.

The statue stands on the sidewalk along Broadway on Capitol Hill, just west of the Central District, and is freely accessible at all hours. Fans regularly leave flowers at its base.
