One of five votes setting the county property-tax rate and the multi-billion-dollar county budget, and the body that hires the County Manager. Supervisors control jail funding, public health, county roads outside city limits and, jointly with the Recorder, election administration. Elected Board Chair in January 2026, the first woman to chair the board in nearly 25 years.
