One of 30 state senators. Votes on all state law and the state budget, which sets K-12 and university funding, AHCCCS, road money and state tax rates. The Senate alone confirms the Governor’s agency-director appointments, and senators also intervene with state agencies for constituents. LD 2 covers north Phoenix, Deer Valley and the Anthem area.
