Vicki L. Lopez

Vicki L. Lopez is the Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 5. County Commissioners are the county legislature: they adopt the budget, pass ordinances, set land use and oversee county services. Appointed; serving until the November 2026 election decides the remainder of the term. Appointed by the Commission in November 2025 to fill Eileen Higgins’ vacated seat; faces Rob Piper in a November 3, 2026 runoff for the rest of the term.
