Eileen Higgins

Eileen Higgins is the Mayor of Miami. The Mayor is the city’s chief executive: proposes the budget, nominates the City Manager, and signs or vetoes Commission legislation. Four-year term ending 2029. Won the December 2025 runoff and was sworn in as Miami’s first woman mayor; she gave up her Miami-Dade Commission District 5 seat to run.
