Frederick K.C. Price founded Crenshaw Christian Center in Inglewood in 1973 and in 1981 bought the former Pepperdine University campus in South Los Angeles. The 10,145-seat FaithDome he built there, completed in 1989, was the largest domed church in the United States when it opened and is still one of the strangest and most striking religious buildings in the city. The congregation reported roughly 28,000 members as of 2018, and Fred K. Price Jr. is senior pastor.
