Black arts and culture space in Los Angeles, California
The nonprofit artist Mark Bradford co-founded in Leimert Park with Allan DiCastro and collector Eileen Harris Norton, pairing a free contemporary art exhibition space with social services for foster youth. Exhibitions run in the 43rd Place gallery Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 5pm, with public programs a block away at 4334 Degnan Boulevard. Recent shows have included Rahim Fortune's Between A Memory and Me and Kinship & Community from the Texas African American Photography Archive. Admission is free and the gallery is a two-minute walk from Leimert Plaza Park.
