Located in historic Fire Station No. 30, one of two segregated stations that housed LA’s Black firefighters until 1955, this museum preserves the history of African American firefighters and their fight to desegregate the LAFD. The building is a designated LA Historic-Cultural Monument.

Exhibits include vintage apparatus, photographs, uniforms and memorabilia. Note that the museum is temporarily closed for restoration after fire damage, so confirm status before visiting.
