The historic Crenshaw club that hosted Ike and Tina, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson 5 has reopened as Maverick's Flat Social & Night Club. Current programming includes Taco Tuesdays, Team Comedy Club USA shows on Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays 7pm-2am and Grown Folk's Saturday Nights 6pm-1am. Crowd is grown and local; it is the most historically loaded Black room on Crenshaw.
