About Mingles Tea Bar
Mingles Tea Bar is a small tea shop on Crenshaw Boulevard in Inglewood, serving loose-leaf blends, tea drinks and baked goods to a mostly neighborhood crowd.
Owner Lara Curtis opened it in 2015 with a straightforward idea: give her community an alternative to coffee, and show that tea can deliver the same lift and focus. Her mother bakes for the shop, including peach cobbler and lemon cake. Curtis has credited steady local support for carrying the business through the pandemic, when outdoor seating on Crenshaw introduced the shop to neighbors who had walked past it for years.
It is a sit-and-stay kind of place rather than a grab-and-go counter, with tea sold by the cup and by the bag.
