About Two Hommes
Two Hommes is an Afro-centric restaurant at 902 North La Brea Avenue in Inglewood. The kitchen draws on Ghanaian and Senegalese cooking and plates it with a modern, chef-driven hand, with a cocktail program alongside.
Chefs Yaw Marcus Yaw Johnson and Abdoulaye Balde, who go by Chef Mando and Chef AB, are childhood friends and Los Angeles natives. They cooked out of their own homes, moved into pop-ups in Leimert Park and around the city, then opened the brick-and-mortar room in September 2022, self-financed and using their own equipment. The Jollof plate is the bestseller, next to passionfruit crudo and root beer braised short rib with whipped yams.
The Los Angeles Sentinel and EatOkra both list it as Black-owned. Service is dinner-focused, and the kitchen closes before the room does.
