The White Eagles are a historic Uptown gang with which Monk Boudreaux first masked as a teenager before an internal dispute dissolved the tribe and he joined the Golden Eagles. Alan Lomax filmed the White Eagles in 1982 for his American Patchwork series, capturing traditional songs such as "My Big Chief's Got the Golden Crown," "Shallow Water" and "Little Liza Jane." A Second Chief of the White Eagles, Felton Brown of the Desire project, taught flat beadwork to Seminoles Big Chief Keitoe Jones. Side: Uptown
