TV One is the flagship national cable network of Urban One, Inc., the largest African American owned and operated broadcast company in the United States. Launched in 2004 and headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, it was founded by Cathy Hughes and is run by CEO Alfred C. Liggins III. It is the biggest Black owned general entertainment network on American television.

TV One reaches roughly 43 million pay TV households with original movies, true crime and investigative series, celebrity biography programming and classic Black sitcoms. Signature franchises include Unsung, Uncensored, Fatal Attraction, ATL Homicide and Payback. The network is carried on every major cable, satellite and telco provider. Its sister network CLEO TV, also wholly owned by Urban One, serves millennial and Gen X women of color in about 35 million homes.
