Perry Publishing and Broadcasting Company is one of the largest independent Black owned radio groups in the country. Founded in April 1979 by Russell M. Perry, publisher of The Black Chronicle and a former Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce, it is now led by his son, president and CEO Kevin S. Perry, from its Oklahoma City headquarters.
Services
The family owned company operates roughly ten stations across four markets. In Oklahoma City it runs KVSP 103.5 Power, KRMP 1140 Heart and Soul and KINB 105.3. In Tulsa it operates KJMM and KGTO. In Augusta, Georgia it owns WFXA-FM 103.1, WTHB-FM 96.9, WAKB 100.9 and WAEG 92.3, plus KQIS in northwest Arkansas. Perry also publishes The Black Chronicle, the oldest Black newspaper in Oklahoma.
