About
Eileen O'Neill Burke was sworn in as Cook County State's Attorney in December 2024 after winning the election to succeed Kim Foxx. She previously served as a justice on the Illinois Appellate Court and as a Cook County circuit judge, and began her career as an assistant state's attorney. She leads the second-largest prosecutor's office in the country.
