Byron Sigcho-Lopez represents the 25th Ward, covering the Near Southwest Side including Pilsen and parts of the Lower West Side. An alderperson is the elected City Council member for one of Chicago’s 50 wards, voting on ordinances, the city budget and local zoning. He is a member of the Council’s Progressive Caucus.
