Founded by drummers Lumar LeBlanc and Derrick Moss, then members of Harold Dejan's Young Olympia Brass Band, to blend contemporary pop, hip-hop and funk with brass band tradition; Cyril Neville gave them their name at Tipitina's. Their debut 'Let Your Mind Be Free' (1995) became a New Orleans staple, and the band has since toured worldwide and collaborated with Metallica, Nas, GZA, Talib Kweli and Wu-Tang Clan.
