Founded by trombonist Maurice 'Sporty' Craig, formerly of the Stooges Brass Band, Sporty's is a high-energy contemporary street band that plays second lines, Bullet's Sports Bar, the Hi-Ho Lounge and the Jazz Museum balcony series, and has toured nationally. The band holds a Monday-night residency at Da Jump Off Lounge on N. Claiborne Avenue. Residency: Mondays at Da Jump Off Lounge, 1901 N. Claiborne Ave. (9:30 PM)
