Trombonist Winston Turner founded the Brass-A-Holics in 2010, adding drum kit, keyboards, bass and electric guitar to a brass front line and blending New Orleans brass with Washington, D.C. go-go into what the band calls 'Go-Go Brass Funk.' Turner cites the St. Augustine Marching 100, Southern University's Human Jukebox, the Pinstripe Brass Band and the Soul Rebels as inspirations. The band has played the Kennedy Center, French Quarter Fest and the Treme Creole Gumbo Festival. Founded: 2010
