Kevin Hayden

The District Attorney is the elected chief prosecutor for Boston, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop. The office decides which criminal cases to charge, what plea deals to offer and which cases go to trial, and runs diversion programs as an alternative to prosecution. The office is on the ballot again in November 2026.
