The Big Game Comes Home

On February 13, 2028, the Lombardi Trophy will be lifted under the retractable halo of Mercedes-Benz Stadium as Atlanta hosts Super Bowl LXII — the city's fourth Super Bowl and its second inside the Benz after Super Bowl LIII in 2019.

For one unforgettable week, Downtown becomes the center of the sports world: the Super Bowl Experience at the Georgia World Congress Center, Opening Night, concerts, tailgates, and afterparties from Castleberry Hill to Sweet Auburn. Oddusee Atlanta is your local playbook — and a deliberate push to steer the weekend's spending into the Black-owned restaurants, lounges, and businesses that make this city what it is.

Booking Tips

  • Book as early as possible — downtown rooms near the stadium sell out fastest and often require multi-night minimums.
  • Expect major price surges near the stadium; Midtown, Buckhead, and airport-area hotels are often cheaper for a similar total trip.
  • Staying outside downtown? Pick a hotel near a MARTA rail stop — the train feeds straight into the stadium district.
  • Airbnb and short-term rentals in West Midtown, O4W, and Grant Park suit groups — verify the host's permit and cancellation policy.
  • Watch for resort/destination fees, parking charges, and event-weekend deposit rules that add to the quoted rate.

Get In

Tickets & Hospitality

How to actually get a seat — official hospitality, priority deposits, and verified resale.

On Location is the NFL's official ticket + hospitality partner. Packages bundle verified tickets with premium seating, pregame/postgame events, and food & beverage. For LXII, access runs through a refundable 'Priority Access' deposit that gets you in line before the public on-sale.

The concrete way to get in line now: place a refundable Priority Access deposit, then get advance notification when the presale opens, select seats/hospitality, and apply the deposit toward purchase. The earliest official channel.

Monitor the official stadium listing and sign up for updates. Most Super Bowl tickets are allocated to the competing teams, the host team, and the league, so watch here for any officially announced fan-access details.

For most fans, resale is the realistic path. Use verified, buyer-guaranteed marketplaces — Ticketmaster (the NFL's official platform), SeatGeek, and StubHub. Buy only through platforms with a purchase guarantee to avoid fraud.

Official LXII prices aren't set yet. For reference, recent Super Bowls have seen get-in resale prices in the low-to-mid four figures per seat, with hospitality packages ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands. Treat all current numbers as estimates.

Getting Around

Travel, Transit & Parking

MARTA is your friend. Here's how to get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and around town on the busiest weekend of the year.

MARTA Rail (Best Bet)

GWCC/CNN Center station sits at the stadium's doorstep and Vine City station is a short walk over the Northside Drive bridge — both on the Blue and Green lines. Fare is about $2.50 each way; tap a card or phone at the Breeze gates. Rail is strongly recommended on game day.

From the Airport (ATL)

Hartsfield-Jackson has its own MARTA station in the terminal on the Red/Gold line. Ride north, transfer at Five Points to the Blue/Green line for GWCC or Vine City — roughly a 20-30 minute train trip, no car needed.

Rideshare & Drop-off

Designated Uber/Lyft zones replace curbside drop-off at the gates — typically a GWCC zone on the north side and a South Downtown zone near the south gates. Expect surge pricing and staged pickups after the game.

Parking

Reserve official parking in advance at the stadium site; nearby decks sell through ParkMobile and SpotHero. On-site day-of parking is limited and pricey, and Super Bowl road closures restrict driving — pre-purchase and arrive early.

Clear-Bag Policy

The stadium enforces the NFL clear-bag policy: clear bags up to 12"×6"×12", a one-gallon clear bag, or a small clutch. Non-clear backpacks and purses are prohibited — expect strict Super Bowl security.

The Legacy

Atlanta's Super Bowls

A city that keeps hosting the biggest game — LXII will be the fourth, and the second under the halo.

1994

Super Bowl XXVIII

Georgia Dome

Dallas beat Buffalo 30–13 for back-to-back titles — Buffalo's fourth straight loss. Emmitt Smith, MVP. Atlanta's first Super Bowl.

2000

Super Bowl XXXIV

Georgia Dome

The St. Louis Rams edged the Titans 23–16, sealed by a tackle one yard short on the final play. Kurt Warner, MVP.

2019

Super Bowl LIII

Mercedes-Benz Stadium

New England beat the Rams 13–3 in the lowest-scoring Super Bowl ever. Julian Edelman, MVP. The first Super Bowl at the Benz.

2028

Super Bowl LXII

Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Sunday, February 13, 2028. Atlanta's fourth Super Bowl and the second at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Teams TBD — the road runs through Atlanta.

Super Bowl Week

Weekend Playbook

A typical Super Bowl week to plan around. Exact dates and lineups for LXII will be confirmed by the NFL and Atlanta Host Committee closer to 2028.

The week kicks off with Super Bowl Opening Night, where both teams meet the media, followed by the opening of the Super Bowl Experience at the Georgia World Congress Center — an interactive football festival with autographs, exhibits, and the Vince Lombardi Trophy on display.
Midweek brings free and ticketed concerts, the NFL Honors awards show, sponsor activations across Downtown, and pop-ups throughout Centennial Olympic Park. A perfect window to explore Castleberry Hill and Sweet Auburn.
The city peaks with celebrity afterparties, day parties, and brand events. Prime time for the Black-owned lounges and restaurants above — book tables and bottle service early, they sell out fast on Super Bowl weekend.
Sunday, February 13, 2028. Gates open hours before kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Pregame festivities, the national anthem, the halftime show, and the game itself — capped by the Lombardi Trophy presentation. Clear-bag policy applies.
Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

The earliest official channel is NFL On Location's refundable Priority Access deposit. Most fans buy through verified resale (Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, StubHub). Official face-value prices haven't been announced yet — be cautious of anything that looks too cheap.
MARTA rail. The GWCC/CNN Center and Vine City stations (Blue/Green lines) are right at the stadium, and MARTA connects directly from the airport. It beats driving and parking on game day.
Yes — the NFL clear-bag policy. Clear bags up to 12"×6"×12", a one-gallon clear bag, or a small clutch. Leave backpacks and non-clear purses at the hotel.
Three times: Super Bowl XXVIII (1994) and XXXIV (2000) at the Georgia Dome, and LIII (2019) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. LXII is Atlanta's fourth and the second at the Benz.
Downtown hotels near the GWCC and Centennial Olympic Park let you walk to the game. Book early — rates surge and multi-night minimums are common. Staying near any MARTA rail station is the next-best move.
