Malbec · Freret St · Uptown
The newcomer of this cellar — and it earns its place.
Freret Street was a Black Uptown commercial corridor that fell hard and then came back — boarded storefronts turned into one of the city’s real neighborhood revivals, Black-owned rooms leading the way. Freret is the newcomer of this cellar, and it earns its place: Malbec, dark and modern and sure of itself.
