No. 9 of 17 · Sweet to Dry
First Street
Viognier · First St · Central City
Formerly Buddy Bolden. A wine you remember more than you can describe.
Buddy Bolden — the cornetist history calls the first man of jazz — lived at 2309 First Street in Central City and played loud enough, they said, to be heard across the river. No recording of him survives; only the influence. Viognier is aromatic, unmistakable, gone before you can pin it down.
Tasting NoteApricot, honeysuckle, tangerine oil, a soft peppery warmth; dry but lush, low-acid, perfumed.
