COPA is a Black-owned cocktail lounge and tapas bar in St. Petersburg’s EDGE District, opened in fall 2019 by brothers Sebastien and Maxim Thuriere, who are of Haitian descent. The kitchen and bar work an Afro-Latin Caribbean fusion, pairing small plates with rum and agave-forward cocktails. In 2024 the brothers expanded next door into 1045 Central Avenue with Cafe COPA, a daytime coffee and breakfast concept.
