About All Things Africatown
All Things Africatown offers guided tours, events and experiences that highlight Africatown's perseverance, the community Clotilda survivors founded after the Civil War. It is run by Joycelyn Davis, a certified Africatown storyteller and tour guide who completed the Africatown guide training program in January 2023. The company partners with Africatown Freedom Tours, so bookings go through that company's phone line and email. Visit Mobile lists it in its guide to Black-owned businesses in Mobile. It is a good pick for groups who want the Africatown story told by people rooted in the community.
