Groovin’ Bean

Monique Messer and Keon Lewis opened Groovin’ Bean as Overtown’s own coffee bar and lounge on NW 3rd Avenue, pouring fair-trade coffees from Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala and Uganda as espresso, cafe cubano and frappes, with all-day breakfast, homemade baked goods and the beignets the place is known for. Miami New Times named it Best Coffeehouse in 2021. Thursday through Saturday nights it turns into a lounge with live music, open mic and spoken word.
